The Langley Vale Action Group recently succeeded in getting planning permission for the Fairfax housing scheme on the Green Belt at Langley Bottom Farm refused. This was largely down to the brilliant support of residents enabling us to present a compelling case as to why the scheme would devastate out village.
The developer has now appealed the decision and there is to be a Public Inquiry which will consider evidence from both the applicant and opponents. The outcome of the appeal will be determined by a government-appointed Planning Inspector. Full details of the appeal including the likely timescale are not yet available.
It is vital that the Langley Vale Action Group participates in the Public Inquiry and presents our case to the Inspector. This means we will need to raise additional funds for the further expert support we will need to challenge the appellant’s case.
