June News Update

COUNCIL ELECTIONS

All three of your Residents Association Councillors were successfully re-elected in May.  Thank you so much for turning out and supporting us.  Liz Frost, Bernice Froud and Steven McCormick are local people, living locally in the ward making local decisions about local issues informed by your views and concerns and not National Party Politics.  They are supported by the Woodcote Residents Society (WERS).

COUNCIL COMMITTEE ROLES

We are delighted that our three Councillors have important influential Council Committees roles this year.

Liz Frost, Chair Standards and Constitution Committee and Vice Chair of Environment Committee.
Steven McCormick, Chair Licensing and Planning Policy Committee Licensing Sub-Committee Panel and Vice Chair Planning Committee.
Bernice Froud, Vice Chair Community and Wellbeing Committee.

Having senior Councillors helps to ensure that resident priorities, issues and concerns in Woodcote and Langley Vale ward are addressed within the Council.

RESIDENTS MEETING – 11 JULY 7.30pm LANGLEY VALE VILLAGE HALL

We are holding a residents meeting on 11 July at 7.30 pm in Langley Vale Village Hall. Please come along to meet us, introduce yourselves and make sure we know what your priorities and concerns are.  Simon Durrant, General Manager, Epsom Downs Racecourse in also going to speak and is happy to answer any questions you may have.
